PS4, PC systems, and STEAM compared
Review: Alienware X51 Andromeda Gaming PC – StumbleUpon. Interesting that a thousand dollar laptop can be so effective at playing games. If money was no object I might be tempted by this. I must say that I enjoy the PS3 too much to be easily seduced.
I researched this for a client and he ended up wanting a $4 thousand desktop system. It was incredibly fast. He liked playing aviation games so since that was very demanding it made sense he wanted the best. Lucky he can afford it.
Of course the downside of the rapid pace of progress is that they depreciate rapidly. However since most people keep them and not resell them, it’s a non issue. I always was told not to buy depreciating assets, but I can’t afford appreciating assets. One share of Berkshire Hathaway is $126. Perhaps I should sell some blood and buy that?
Other great iOS gaming acessories are some affordable controllers. Sony and Xbox hit with a recent gaming hack – that was frustrating over christmas break. Can you believe that Atari marks 40 years of gaming? I remember playing the 2600 like it was yesterday. How amazing it was for me. I even had an original fictional piece of what history might be like if Apple never existed. You might need to work in the technology field to appreciate the puns.
Now the PS4/Xbox quality is better then the Apple TV and I can play DC Online with it. Well when it works anyway. With a Vita you can even play on your PS4 remotely. I found an easy way to turn off your Dualshock to save power. Gaming systems are even widely used as streaming devices even more than dedicated devices. Sometimes you get unjustly rewarded in DC Online. I prefer the PS4 that my friend has and I am avoiding Steam for their lousy support.
